Romney's Missing Policy
(There's A Reason For That)
Time and time again Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have been asked for policy specifics.
They have declined to provide them.
Romney is giving no specifics, and it looks very much like it's BECAUSE....Cheney's successor, (the wannabe Secret President In Charge Of Pulling The Strings) Grover Norquist, hasn't yet TOLD him WHAT those specifics ARE.
Remember this comment from Grover Norquist?
"We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We dont need a president
to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go
just need a president to sign this stuff
.Pick a Republican with
enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United
. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation
that has ALREADY BEEN PREPARED"
That "already prepared" legislation is brought to you by ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council). The same folks who brought you Citizens United, "Corporations Are People, My Friend", and all those corporate billions pouring into Republican coffers, intent upon buying the Whitehouse and installing another Republican puppet president.
ALEC is a powerful corporate front group that allows big corporations to help write legislation that it then delivers to state legislators across the country.
The organization is so influential that as many
as a third of all state legislators nationwide, mostly Republicans, are members
of its legislative outreach network. Much of the nationís most dangerous right
wing legislation, like laws decimating collective bargaining and promoting
climate denial, have come from ALEC.
VP nominee Paul Ryan inadvertently confirmed as much during an exchange between ABC's George Stephanopoulos and Ryan several days ago on the program "This Week". The conversation was about specifying which tax loopholes would be closed in the Romney plan.
"Don't voters have a right to know
which loopholes you're going to go after?" Stephanopoulos asked Ryan.
Ryan: "Mitt Romney and I, based on our experience, think the best way to do this is to show the framework, show the outlines of these plans, and then to work with Congress to do this. That's how you get things done."
Translation- "Norquist hasn't told us what we're going to be doing yet. It's a secret, even from us."
Oh goody. America just
loves explosive-rigged political pinatas.
